How to link Bing Ads credentials in Data Streams

After signing up for Data Streams, you need to link your Bing Ads credentials in order to set Bing Ads as a data source.

Here’s how you do that:

  1. Click ‘SET DATA EXTRACT SOURCE.
  2. Choose 'Bing Ads' from the drop-down menu.
  3. After choosing your platform, click ‘Link.’
  4. Insert your Microsoft account that has access to the Bing Ads account you want to set as your Data Source and hit 'Next.'

Your Bing Ads account is now linked and you can now move forward to select your report type and set your Data Destination.

1. Account

Defines an account performance report request. Use this report to observe long-term account performance and trends. You can request impressions, impression share (%), clicks, spend, and average cost per click for individual accounts.

Parameter Restrictions

For reports that include impression share performance metrics, you cannot include constrained dimensions in the same report request. If you include any of the impression share performance metrics, then you must exclude all of the below dimensions. Likewise, if you include any of the below dimensions, then you must exclude all of the impression share performance metrics.

The following dimensions and impression share performance metrics are mutually exclusive when submitting the AccountPerformanceReportRequest.

2. Ad Group Report

Defines an ad performance report request. Use this report to help you determine which ads lead to clicks and conversions, and which are not performing. Having underperforming ads in your account can pull down the quality of your campaigns.

You can request impressions, clicks, spend, and average cost per click for each ad. Once downloaded, this data can be sorted by ad ID, ad status, ad title, display URL, and destination URL.

3. Campaign

Defines a campaign performance report request. Use this report to view high-level performance statistics and quality attributes for each campaign or account. This is also a quick way to flag any major campaign or account problems.

You can request impressions, impression share (%), clicks, spend, and average cost per click for each campaign or account. Once downloaded, this data can be sorted by campaign, campaign status, and quality score.

4. Destination URL

Defines a destination URL performance report request. Use this report to identify landing pages that met audience expectations and potentially resulted in high click-through or conversion rates.

You can request impressions, clicks, spend, and average cost per click for your landing pages. Once downloaded, this data can be sorted by destination URL, account, campaign, and ad group.
